Data breaches hit new high in New York

A record number of data breach notices were filed in 2017 with the New York attorney general, who pledged to introduce new notification requirements directed at Facebook and other social media sites.

Chubb names financial risks lead for surplus lines unit

Chubb Ltd. has named Jason Neu to be senior vice president, professional risk, for Alpharetta, Georgia-based Westchester Surplus Lines Insurance Co., the excess and surplus lines insurance division of Chubb in North America, Chubb said in a statement Friday.

Scor announces executive changes

French reinsurer Scor S.E. has named Laurent Rousseau to be deputy CEO of Scor Global S.E. property and casualty, effective April 1, 2018, the company said in a statement.
